A little about me!

  Hi, I would like to introduce myself my name is Melissa and I am a certified, experienced, Personal Trainer in Palm Harbor and the surrounding Tampa bay area. I have been living in Florida since the summer of 1994 and been involved in the fitness industry ever since. I have a passion for fitness and love to share the world of fitness with others as I train them. It is such a rewarding feeling when a client loses that weight they never thought possible. What about the look on that brides face when she can fit into the dress of her dreams. Get Fit by Melissa can help you reach your fitness goals. In-home personal training is by far, the most convenient and effective way to exercise. We can meet at your home, office, beach, park, or gym and I will bring all the necessary equipment to you as your Personal Trainer.

I have found through my experience that a lot of people don’t exercise because they either can’t make it to the gym and/or they don’t want to sign a gym contract. With in-home training, it solves a number of these typical concerns. I work with men and women of all age groups and fitness levels on a one-on-one basis. You also have the option to train with a friend or partner where you can enjoy the added support of a buddy as well as lower rates. My rates are well below what you would pay for personal training in a gym or studio and there are no membership fees or contracts. I offer affordable, money saving, training packages and have friend referral bonus sessions.

I specialize in women’s personal training because I understand what really works better for a woman’s body. Strength Training, Swiss Ball, Kickboxing, Aqua Training, Yoga and Pilates are just some of the methods used to get the results you want. I also focus on Core and Functional Training that improves posture and balance. It strengthens the muscles that help support the back and spine in your daily life.

Nutrition is also an important part of any fitness plan so we can also discuss your eating habits to make sure they support your fitness goals. In your free fitness assessment we will outline your exercise preferences, goals, past injuries, etc. so I can develop a customized workout/nutritional plan designed specifically for you.  We can even spend an hour shopping at the grocery store to help you get the foods you need.

As your personal trainer I will motivate and encourage you while adapting fitness routines that meet your individual needs and constantly striving to make your workouts more enjoyable. My method of training is designed to produce serious results in fat loss, body shaping and better overall health regardless of your age or condition. You can finally achieve your goals for weight loss, better health, and physical fitness - and learn how to make that achievement last for a lifetime.
